G CUP LAN Edition 2: How Tunisia's Biggest Esports LAN Event just got bigger
On June 13, 2026, the outdoor courtyard of the Institut Français de Tunisie (IFT) turned into Tunisia's most competitive gaming arena for one day, as G CUP LAN Edition 2 brought together Valorant, League of Legends, and eFootball Mobile players for the second chapter of a tournament series co-operated by Gamefy Academy and Gotei Esports.
The numbers that matter
Edition 2 nearly doubled Edition 1's digital footprint, with Instagram reach jumping from 300,000 to 556,000 views (+85%). Registered players grew 36% to 512 across three disciplines. On-site attendance climbed to 400, and every Edition 1 sponsor renewed for Edition 2, joined by four new Tier 1 partners: IZI Zitouna Payment (title sponsor), Asus ROG, Red Bull, and GameWorld, alongside institutional backing from IFT and the Embassy of France in Tunisia.
What we operated
G CUP LAN ran on a two-operator model: Gamefy Academy handled production, broadcast, and brand activation, while Gotei Esports managed competition, brackets, and tournament administration, giving sponsors one point of contact and one accountable delivery team.
The main event drew 367 people on-site: 46 qualified players, 25 operational staff, 245 ticketed fans, 7 on-air talents, 10 sponsor reps, and 34 VIP invites. The parallel cybersecurity CTF added 14 teams and 46 more attendees, pushing the total to 400 — a 14% increase over Edition 1. The prize pool reached 6,000 DT: 1,500 DT for first place in Valorant and in League of Legends (750 DT for second), 500 DT for the eFootball Mobile winner, and 750 DT for the female showmatch winner (250 DT for second), funded by GameWorld as a 1,000 DT store gift card on top of the 5,000 DT core pool.
Digital Impact: 750K Reach
Instagram alone delivered 556K views between May 28 and June 14, with 87K accounts reached (+476% vs. the prior cycle), 37.1K total interactions, 9.8K profile activity events (+433%), and 2.1K new followers. Combined with TikTok, Facebook, and Twitch/Kick livestreams, total estimated reach hit 750K — a figure still climbing as the after-movie rolls out.
What was new in Edition 2
Three innovations set this edition apart. Free-to-play activation stands : a 1v1 Arena, Retro Gaming, EA FC, Tekken 8, and a Red Bull Reaction Time zone, kept fans engaged between matches. An in-house ticketing application, built specifically for the event, handled scan-to-buy entry with HMAC-signed anti-fraud QR codes and a live admin dashboard. And a female Valorant showmatch, Mnihla's amateur women's team versus a streamer mix, funded by GameWorld, is described as the first female esports showmatch broadcast at this scale on a Tunisian LAN stage.
